One Game at a Time

Never give up, never surrender.

The Boston Celtics face a 3-1 series deficit against the Miami Heat, with a very important Game 5 tonight. Times are bleak as a Celtics fan, due to two terrible games in Miami to start the series. If the Celtics are going to pull off a comeback, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen need to contribute. After an incredible Game 3, KG was invisible in Game 4, and Ray Allen only hit two three pointers. Jeff Green needs more minutes. I know people aren't high on Jeff Green since we traded for him, but he is the one guy off our bench who can match the athleticism of the Heat, and you can tell he takes pride in shutting down LeBron James. 16 minutes for Green isn't going to cut it. If KG and Ray Allen show up, Green gets good contributions, and Delonte West continues his stellar performance off the bench, the Celtics are long from out of this series.
If you don't think its possible, here are a list of teams who have came back from a 3-1 deficet to win a series:
1968 Boston Celtics, 1970 LA Lakers, 1979 Washington Bullets, 1981 Boston Celtics, 1995 Houston Rockets, 1997 Miami Heat, 2003 Detroit Pistons, 2006 Phoenix Suns.

Celtics fans, have faith. If any team can do it in these playoff's its the Celtics. And if there is any team that could choke a series like this, its the Heat. They're young, inexperienced, and rely on three guys to do 80% of their scoring. If one of them has an off night, like Chris Bosh in Game 3, the Celtics can pull it off. LeBron is also a choke artist. Remember that.
Have Faith. It's not over yet.

  1. Win tonight, home game 6, and you don't want to face the Celtics in game 7.
