So tonight is game 6 of what might be the best playoff hockey series in the past 2 decades in Boston. Which is pretty remarkable, considering last year the Bruins pissed off a lot of new fans off by pulling that shit against the Flyers. Luckily, the Bruins are back and have to whole city buzzing. Not the caliber of the Celtic buzz, but slowly creeping towards it.
I am going to tell you 3 reasons why the Bruins are going to make more noise than last year and not pull the same shit.
3. Last year's shit, good luck getting people to follow the Bruins during the regular season next year if you pull this shit again.
2. Bergeron, Horton, and Krejci, all of the players were out last year for the playoffs, and these guys are tough as balls and can kill penelties. If you fuck with them, they'll kick your ass too. Tough ass hell, and if they can't beat you up, they could just get Chara to paralyze you like that douche from Montreal.
1. TIM FUCKING THOMAS!! I like to compare a goalie to the complete bench for basketball. Every championship basketball team the past dozen or so years looks back and says, "wow the bench really one us a game or two every series when our stars weren't 100%" Well its the same way with goaltending. Last year Rask played ok, but just ok. He never left us saying, "wow he won us the game." Rask had several opportunities to win us the series in Game 4, 6, and defiantly 7 against the Flyers. Thomas already has put the team his back and won us Game 3 and 5 this series alone. Bruins would be out if Tukka was playing I promise you that. As long as Thomas plays well, the sky is limit with this Bruins team.
Tonight's Prediction: BOSTON 3 Canadians 2 - OT , Thomas 35-40 saves.
